This disease is caused by the bacterium chlamydia. The main route of infection is sexual contact without the use of a condom.
Symptoms of chlamydia:
- men may have discharge from the urethra (minor), violation of urination;
- women may have violation of urination, discharge from the urethra and vagina.
- often the disease is asymptomatic.
Treatment: antibacterial therapy.
Prevention: use of a condom during sexual intercourse.
Danger: untreated chlamydia in men can lead to infertility and impotence; in women - to infertility, miscarriage; various pathologies of newborns.
