The inpatient department of the Centre is located in a separate 3-storey building. Referral to planned inpatient treatment, treatment in a day hospital can be obtained at the dispensary department of the Centre.

The inpatient department is a structural subdivision of the Centre for Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and includes: a 24-hour inpatient hospital and a day-care hospital.

The planned number of cases of providing medical care for 2018:

  • Inpatient care specialized – 803
  • Hospital at Home – 3900

Round-the-clock inpatient facility

The inpatient skin fungal department performs the following functions:

  • Specialized dermatovenereological care for adults and children, patients whose condition requires round-the-clock monitoring and treatment in the hospital, a course of treatment of skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases with the use of highly effective medicines and treatment methods.
  • Implementation of new methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dermatovenereological diseases.
  • The training and upgrading of the professional skills of personnel on the issues of rendering medical assistance in the field of dermatovenerology.
  • Examination of patients’ temporary incapacity to work.
  • Carrying out psychological support and sanitation work with patients and their relatives.

The department is designed for 30 beds of round-the-clock hospital. In the department, patients with acute (toxicoderma, contact allergic dermatitis, photodermatosis, etc.) and chronic skin diseases (pemphigus, psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, atopic dermatitis, scleroderma, rosacea, etc.), fungal and viral diseases, as well as with sexually transmitted infections, including pregnant women with STIs, who need round-the-clock medical supervision, they all receive specialized medical assistance according to the rules of guaranteed volume of a free medical care (GVFMC).

  • Office of the nurse for economic service

Day-care hospital

The day-care hospital performs the following functions:

  • Providing specialized dermatovenereological care for adults and children.
  • Implementation of new methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dermatovenereological diseases.
  • The training and upgrading of the professional skills of personnel on the issues of rendering medical assistance in the field of dermatovenerology.
  • Examination of patients’ temporary incapacity to work.
  • Carrying out psychological support and sanitation work with patients and their relatives.
  • The day-care hospital of the Centre for Dermatology provides hospital at home medical care for patients with acute (toxicodermia, contact allergic dermatitis, contact irritant dermatitis, pyoderma, etc.) and chronic dermatoses (psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, atopic dermatitis, scleroderma, rosacea, etc.), treatment of patients suffering from sexually transmitted diseases – gonorrhea, chlamydia, urea- mycoplasmosis, trichomoniasis.
  • The day-care hospital is designed for 40 beds.
